You can literally use all of these shot ideas in ANY scenario you shoot, but hey, why not start from your own room?
Personally, this shooting flow works great for me:
Start with wide shots to establish your scene and context, then move on to an over-the-shoulder shot to instantly draw your viewer in. Pattern interrupt with a top-down shot, then introduce yourself with a medium shot. Keep things interesting with close-ups, then rinse and repeat.
