🚨 Claude can now edit videos inside a real timeline.

A new open-source video editor called Palmier lets users control video editing with AI, using natural language instead of traditional editing steps.

You can organize clips, manage timelines, search media by meaning, generate or edit footage, and automatically transcribe content directly inside the workflow.

The biggest part?

It is open-source, Mac native, and can run locally using your own Anthropic API key or connect through MCP for deeper automation.

This shows where creative tools are going. Video editing is slowly becoming less about clicking through complex menus and more about telling AI what you want to build.

For creators, this could save hours. For editors, it could become a new kind of workflow.
