I grew my old channel to 550K followers and then quit because editing took forever. 6 to 8 hours for a 5 minute video. Brutal.. Fast forward to 2026 and I tried using Claude Code with Remotion to fully automate my video editing. In this video I show you exactly what worked, what didn’t, and the tool I actually use every day to edit my videos now.

Full transparency. Claude Code can edit start to finish for about 4 cents per video, but Remotion is not quite there yet for animations. I’ll show you the real results so you can decide for yourself. The Notion doc with my full Claude Code editing setup is linked below. Copy it, paste it into Claude Code, and you’re ready to go.

Key Insights

Do you want to grow your social media account, but you’re struggling to edit videos? I totally get where you’re at. Video editing sucks. It takes forever. [music] Even hiring somebody to edit videos takes a long time because you and the editor has to talk [music] the same code. Meaning, you have to communicate with them and then go back and forth and if you don’t like certain parts, you have them edit again. I’ve been a content creator since 2018 and I grew my channel to 550k across three platforms, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. [music] And even though I had some followers, I gave up because editing took forever. And back in 2018, we didn’t really have AI. I used Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. I did everything manually. It’s like [music] one step by step captions. Making 5-minute video took me 6 to 8 hours to edit. Yeah, I was pretty slow, too, because I had to learn all the new techniques [music] and all that. But that’s back in 2018. Fast forward to 2026, a lot of things has changed. I thought to myself, [music] what if I use Claude Code and then have Claude Code replace the script for me? And in this video, you will see all about that. [music] And my honest opinion of where I’m at and how I’m using to edit videos and what you should be using to edit videos as well. I don’t know if you heard of this tool called Remotion. There’s a lot of YouTube tutorials out there because when I first restarted this content creation journey, I really wanted something that is so simple for me to edit videos right away cuz I didn’t want to go back to manually editing everything. That just it took forever. It just kind of traumatized me to a point. I need to find a better solution. But whenever I searched different tools and watched different creators and try those tools, I never got the result that I wanted. It was never good. So what I did is I asked Claude Code to install the tools that will kind of replace the manual repetitive things that video editing platform does. Removing the filler word and removing the silence. Enhancing the audio quality and then maybe putting some animated captions, adding b-roll, sound effects, zoom effect, animated overlays. This is one thing that I think if you were to hire an editor, and they do a lot better, like the actual animation. But as soon as I heard Remotion, I trained Claude Code to animate couple of videos that I make. But the turnout was actually not good. Claude Code took forever to use Remotion. I don’t know if that’s because my laptop sucks, which I bought another laptop because of this so I can record another video if I find some success. I have not seen a lot of success with Remotion for myself just yet. A lot of result that I got were pretty crappy. It wasn’t as good. And I saw a couple different tutorials how other people use it. Maybe their prompt is a little bit better, but honestly, even that didn’t look that good either. So going back to animation overlays, I think human input is a lot better for now. I’m thinking Remotion will get there though because despite the fact how fast AI is enhancing right now, it will get there. Hopefully by end of this year. That’s what I’m assuming. There’s another platform that I found out. This I’m not affiliated by them, but they have bunch of different templates over here. So if you were to use different animation like this as an example, you want it. I found that what you can do is instead of using their animation straight, go over here, click it. Get get the copy, the link so Claude Code can learn what kind of animation this is. Use Remotion to rebuild animation looking like this. Pretty cool, right? It’s not perfect just yet. I think it will get there. It’s not there just yet. But Remotion’s free, so feel free to try that. But I just want to make sure I’m very clear in this so you’re not tricked by anything that I say. I’ll show you one of the examples of how I use it. But in a plain language, I uploaded about 12-minute video and then edited
